Bathroom mixer tap installation

Portfolio1 CommentApril 23, 2017handyman

Shower mixer tap installed  by 112handyman .

Usually, changing a bathroom mixer its not that difficult and not so time consuming, however, sometimes  it requires more time and and the job is more challenging.

For this project we had to remove the bath tube as there was no access to the mixer tap .

Steps:

We started by turning the water off for safety reasons ,both cold and hot water, we then removed the bathtub front and side panels.

After removing the panels, we have cut the silicon to let the bathtub loose and slowly lowered the legs. The mixer was connected with flex pipes which allowed us to pull the bathtub just enough to go under and disconnect the mixer flex pipes .

We have removed the mixer then installed the new mixer back making sure its not leaking and no loose plumbing connection before putting everything back.

Wow that sounds like a big job just for putting in some taps. Not something I would attempt on my own. I know where to come when I refurb my bathroom soon. I like your article on tiling too.
